Life has become a constant race, trying to out do others and aiming to stay ahead. Feeling less than when tasks are left incomplete and the to-do list is endless.
Ignoring the warning signs that everything is not as it should be. Maybe your not sleeping soundly, or your skin breaks out, or you get an ulcer. Dulling the signals with food, alcohol or drugs.
Sound familiar? What is your vice?
You don’t need to live like this, give yourself permission to slow down, listen, observe and make informed decisions.
Pause for a moment and sigh out. All the way to the end of your breath. Then breathe in, through your nostrils if you can. Breathe as deeply as you can, and hold it in for a count or two. Then let it go, sighing out again all the way to the end of your breath.
Try this;
Set your alarm ten minutes early and just lie there, feel your body breathing, observe the sensations of every muscle, every cell and notice what you notice and ask yourself, ”How are you?”
Or
jump on your mat and set a timer, start with 5 minutes and let go of any preconceived ideas or expectations and let go.
And if you need to be held accountable, book a class at YogaNess and don’t cancel, show up and reap the benefits, mind, body and soul.
