Purna

Purna is a sanskrit word meaning "Complete". Purna yoga is a holistic practice that allows us to embrace all our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs, on and off the mat. The practice is alignment focused. Blocks, belts and bolsters are available to be used to support and modify postures safely. A typical class consists of sun salutations, standing postures, backbending and inversions, before completing in Savasana.

Reset and Restore

Reset and Restore with a group of floor based asanas with the support of props, suitable for all levels. Restorative is a passive style of yoga that offers an invitation into complete and delicious surrender; a place where tight muscles unfurl, cluttered minds clear and emotions re-balance.

Stretch and Release

A practice with long holds and a long Savasana to soothe the body. Using a combination of bolsters, blankets and blocks to support you. Learn to connect with your body and acknowledge it’s need for rest and recover. Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body, the tendons, fascia, and ligaments, with the aim of increasing circulation in our joints and improving our flexibility. A great compliment to your more active practice.

Private and Corporate Packages

Private yoga is ideal if you're new to the practice or a regular student looking to enhance the progression of your practice. Corporate yoga programmes have been proven to save businesses money in terms of reducing staff turnover, absenteeism, illness and stress leave. The toning and stretching from a yoga class improve the postures and help reduce common aches and pains associated with sitting at a desk all day. Beads & Bubbles

Unwind with Ness and Carmel for an evening filled with yoga, beading and a chance to sit down, talk and connect.
Allow Ness to first guide you with some soul nourishing Yin yoga, to unfurl any tight muscles and release the day, followed by Carmel as she guides us through the art of making our own beaded bracelets
( to take home ) and some sneaky refreshments…..

A few questions I often get asked from new students….

Do I need to being anything? 
• No, everything is supplied at YogaNess 
How much is a class and can I pay casually? 
• $18 and yes if you prefer to pay and come casually you can
Do I need to book?
• Drop ins are welcomed but bookings are recommended as all classes are capped to allow personal space and attention and tend to book out
Can I join if I’m a beginner?
• of course, All classes are catered for whether your a beginner or advanced student
•The studio door is locked at the beginning of the practice to honour and respect all attending
• All valuables are kept safe in the lockers outside the room ( no phones or shoes in studio ) 

Essential Oils

 

Here at YogaNess we diffuse a combination of beautiful essential oils to create a calming experience as soon as you step through the door. Essential oils have the ability to affect mood and energy. 
A hint of peppermint or citrus can invigorate an early morning practice, while lavender and frankincense have a more calming effect and pair well with our Stretch & Release ( Yin ) and Reset & Restore ( Restorative ) practices.
A great yoga class is an experience from the moment you enter the room until the moment you leave.
